Industrial Development Corporation (IDC)

The IDC is a national development finance institution set up to promote economic growth and industrial development. It is a national development finance institution set up to promote economic growth and industrial development. It is supervised by the Department of Economic Development. The IDC invested in CNG Holdings and its operating companies to establish a project to introduce alternative fuel vehicles to South African roads. This project is in line with government’s Industrial Action Policy Plan (IPAP2). It forms part of the IDC’s commitment to promote the green economy and focus on the production of alternative fuels as part of a broad plan to make “green transport” a reality.

Egoli Gas

Egoli Gas (Pty) Ltd is a CNG reticulator in Johannesburg servicing more than 7 500 domestic, central water heating, commercial and industrial businesses in the area. It acquires NG from Sasol which is received at secure facilities at Langlaagte and reticulated to Egoli Gas’ Cottesloe premises where it is stored in low pressure holders before being reticulated to homes and businesses across the city. Egoli Gas supplies gas to Virtual Gas Network (VGN) and NGV Gas.

BRC

BRC Gas Equipment is a trademark owned by M.T.M., an Italian company, that manufactures and markets automotive LPG and CNG components and systems. CNG Holding is a distributor for BRC in equipment in Africa and South Africa.
